SCT X3 Help

I was wondering if any of you guru's out there could give me some help. I recently had my 05 CC Powerstroke at the dealer at which time they replaced the FICM and an injector. I have been running with the stock program since I got it back from the dealer. Over this past weekend I tried to reload my street tune from Innovative. The tuner went through the process of uploading and then failed with an error "unable to open file". I have tried a couple of times and the error is always the same and now even though the tune process did not finish, my X3 shows current tune as being the street tune. I assume that no programming changed on the truck since the process did not complete, would this be correct? I checked the strategy and it still shows to be the same as before I took the truck in to the dealer. Why would the tune process die and error if the strategy is the same as before? Could the tune in my X3 be corrupted? What should I do to try and correct the issue?

Never saw it saying anything other than uploading and then the error.

the only time it should say uploading is when it's retrieving the stock tune the first time you go to put a tune in it. or after you've returned it back to stock then go to put a custom tune back in it. try turning your truck back to stock and see what happens

If you are back to stock maybe disconnecting the batteries in the truck for 5-10 mins to clear the flashable RAM? Not sure if that would help or not?

I would use the SCT and check the strategy code. The dealer may have updated the software and the tunes you are trying to load in are of the older strategy. I would just double check on that.

Think he did this "I checked the strategy and it still shows to be the same as before I took the truck in to the dealer."

Did you infer that it went back to the dealer WITH a tune in it ???? Is that what happened ? eeeewwwww, not a good thing...
(that's the reason I keep the xcal IN the truck at all times )

If so, and they replaced the computer, then the x3 may think it's a different truck and won't load to it.... because it's already loaded on one.... and it's out of sync....

Be very careful about what you do - contact sct NOT the dealer
