Hi! I am wondering if anyone understands this code. P2290 - ICM Pressure Too Low. It popped up while on the highway, beautiful sunny day, crusing about 110kph (60mph) with a very light load (way less than my 9'9" camper). No driveabilty issues - just the silly light on the dash. The dealer reset it and I am to take it back if it comes up again...
I googled it and came up with this: experts should be by shortly.
The icp is injection control pressure its the sensor that measures the pressure of the high pressure oil system
The ipr is the injection control pressure regulator it controls the ammount of oil pressure the pump puts out.
These are both common problems with the 6.0 more so the icp on the early modle 6.0 because it was in the pump cover under the turbo and got hot and deformed the connector causing it to leak oil into the connector and causing all kinds of starting and performance problems. If you look in the passengers side valve cover and you do not see any sensor its an early modle if you do see a sensor its a late model.
