Yellowrose - I got a question for you about old homelites. Mine is oiling but it's not going down the chain, started burning a brand new bar. It's a super xl. Any ideas?
Don't feel so bad about running without the filter. I've seen saws sucked into chippers, used as wheel chocks, dropped from trees, and my personal favorite, one brand new ms440 that made one cut, tree got hung up, we went to lunch and heard this big crash. Turned out the saw caught the tree to protect the lawn, unfortunately sacrificing itself in the process. It was especially embarrassing because we worked at trying to push pull and cut the tree from its perch to no avail before we said screw it and took lunch.
