ok i have 235/85/16 on my truck right now but my buddy just gave me a nice set of 305/70/16 will those tires fit on my truck without rubbing too god awful bad i dont mind it rubbing just not a whole lot will they work? thanks
your old tires are 31.7" tall and 9.3" wide, while your "new" ones are 12" wide and 32.7 tall.
You should have no problems running them, as far as rubbing goes. Your speedo will barely be affected....might read 3% slow....which isnt anything to worry about.
I run 305/70/16 on my truck, 97 F350 4x4 Crew, and have no issues at all.

You might get a little rubbing at steering lock in the front... I have 285/75-16's on my 2wd F350 and I get a little bit of rubbing on the radius arms when I have the wheel cranked all the way over.
You may have to shim the bumper out a little but They will be fine. If they rub at all it will be on the spring pack (4wd) or Radius arm (2wd) but only at full lock and then they still may not rub at all.
