I think that a good approach to expensive upgrades like this is to break it down into parts... buy the gears sets first. That's approximately 1/3 of the total cost. Then save for one axle's labor cost. Finally, save for the other axle's labor cost. Roughly $25.00 per week or $100.00 per month. Within 12 months you are ready to install the gears!
