I saw those pics on your thread, with shock and awe. That's a terrific result - whodathunkit? Unfortunately I have an aversion to vinegar. In 1965 my dear mother started soaking my thumbs in vinegar every night to get me to stop sucking them. It worked, fast. Maybe even faster than it does on nuts and bolts. But to this day, I can't stand the smell (or taste) of vinegar.

 

Also helps loosen rusty lug nuts.

Just so every body knows, almost any soft drink will do. Just look on the ingredients label. If it says "phosphoric acid", it will work.
So, you can by the real cheap sodas in the 1 liter bottles (check the label) for .99 and have a cheap rust remover!

 

Can you take an after shot from the same perspective as the before shot?
It would be better proof of the outcome.
