One of these days were going to have to have a beer and swap stories. I can imagine the messes that you saw in the mines. It seems that any job in a cruddy area seems to end up being hacked up.
Haha, I appreciate that Jim, but for the adult beverages that will have to wait til a yr from this past sat. before I can legally do that. But i'd be more than happy to swap stories anytime.
The practical jokes that went on were unreal lol. By the way, have you ever had the pleasure of watching someone try to run a wheel loader with a C18, that is stuck in a hole, on nothing but ether? very interesting story lol.

Happy Belated Birthday Cory. We'll have coffee instead, that works for me too. That would be a very intresting story.
Thank you Jim, it was good to spend the bday with JD and ray putting my clutch in. I went night fishing that night out here on the river just me and the dog, and had a pretty good time. I'm always up for some good story swappin.
Alright well my exhaust guy couldn't get to my truck today, so that has to wait 'til Thursday. As for the gauges, they are being installed probably Saturday when I have some time. I will definitely take some pictures for y'all.
On drilling the manifold or up-pipe- no grease, point the hole downward and drill away. 98% of the shavings fall to the ground, whats left won't hurt a dang thing.
Thanks guys! I'm taking the exhaust and EGT probe to my guy tomorrow morning. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow evening.
If I'm reading this right,You want your exhaust installer to install the probe? Are you intending to install it in the exhaust down pipe? You know this will make your readings post turbo, right? Most guys install probe pre-turbo. Just want you to avoid doing it twice.
No no, I'm installing it pre-turbo. I was just going to ask if while he was messin' around with the exhaust if he could drill and tap the manifold. I'm thinking I'm going to do it myself on the up pipe. Seems pretty simple and there isn't much of a chance of me really screwing things up long as i follow the advice listed here.
