laf, they can already use your cell phone to track you anyways.
it's pretty neat to see what your buddies are up too, and where they are at.

i have the tmobile G1 phone, and it pretty much already has that, i just have to dl the app for it,creepy and cool at the same time, but whats more useful is the app to text your phone when its lost with a pin number and it will tell you where it is lol

Hadn't heard of this until now. I'm not using it but it might be an interesting item to have. My family can track my location when I'm out hunting.
I'd be interested in seeing how it would actually work. I'll be thinking about this.

Grab a GPS and set a waypoint. If you don't invited to the cabin, just show up and say, "I was in the neighborhood and..."

The only way not to tracked is to remove the battery. Just turning off your cell will not kill the GPS.

You can turn off the tranmitters on my Motorola. Not sure if does indeed turbo off the GPS though.

You can turn off GPS on the phones.
You cannot turn off cell tower tracking though.
