a few questions
hello everyone, my name is tom, im from dothan,al. i wanted to ask a few questions about my 99 f-150. its an ext. cab, 5.4, auto trans.4x2,137,000 miles completely stock and it still runs great. well here goes. first let start by saying that when one of the coil pacs went out the tester they hooked up said it was a 5.4 super duty. my oil filter is located on the drivers side on the front of the engine and it mounts horizontally, now my buddys 99 f-150 with the 5.4 has the oil filter on the drivers side but towards the rear and it mounts vertically. i was wondering why this is? what size injectors come on this engine? also what size throttle body? i just ran it at our local drag strip, 1/8th mile, and it ran a 10.27. not to bad if you ask me. it only spun the right rear when i did my burnout so it must not be posi? anyways i have asked enough for now. any response would be appreciated. thanks yall

your buddy dosn't have and after market oil filter position kit dose he.....? I know there is a kit you can buy to move the oil filter to an easier access point... not sure about the injectors or the throttle body as far as the rearend there is a tag on the axle house or should be that tells you some info about the rear end it should say something like 8.75 Ls this means it has a 8 3/4 in ring gear and is a limited slip rear end. if there is no ls than it is not a limited slip Good luck man
