Wheel/Tire combo Interchangeability?
I recently bought my first Ford and I would love to Know if the Harley Davidson wheel/tire set or maybe the Lightning Wheel/tire set of the same year or close would fit my 2001 F150 XL 4.2 swb styleside. My truck came with chrome steel wheels with 255/70R16 factory. I dont wanna have to mess with my speedo or lose any mpg. I'm just curious if this kind of swap is common. Thanks in advance for any knowledge or experience you can share!

i think the spedo can be reporgramed by dealer, not redo the gears. the speed wont chang if the OD if the tire is the same. if you use 255 or 265 tires that are 16 inch rims you will be fine. if you go to 17 inch rims, you will be a few mph off.
