yeah, i delt with a brand new tour bus this winter at work..long story there but it was for BP..but this windows are fixed..they dont move. to mount a moving window this way seems so, so stupid.
the excursion is STILL down at the dealer, the windows are fixed and it was sent down to the ford dealer for the front end "clunk" which the chevy dealer could not sure after throwing many new parts at it.
ok, the dealer lied, i have been fighting with them for almost 2 weeks now..i'm pissed..i'm contacting the BBB and the attorney general about them.
but the windsheild is replaced, front end parts...and i had to claim the vent window on my insurance...$1642.96 all said and done. i paid my $100 deductible and its done..
ALSO i had them replace the vent window with a fixed window..so i nolonger have a vent on that side but it should never have an issue again..if the drivers side goes i'll do the same.
i just got my truck back tonight, and i'm gonna go drive the hell out of it!
I have the same problem with my 2003 but it is on the drivers side.I can open and close it but it leaks in the car wash or when it rains.I was told by a local glass repair shop that they wont fix it only replace it they dont want to be relieable for it.

That is because they don't want to own the leak. I would take a look and first determine if the window is glued in tight. Open it up and from the outside pull on it slightly to make sure. I would then take out the rubber that it seals on when closed and see if you can insert rubber tubing into it. It sounds like the rubber seal is somewhat flattened making an improper seal when closed. I have, aswell as others used the sling shot rubber inserted into the seal around the doors to help them seal better, and it should work here also.

Did you have a cracked w/s, is that why it was replaced? Hopefully putting all those parts into it has fixed the problem.
the windsheild leaked anytime i went thru the carwash..causing water to run down into the dash..not a good thing at all thats why it needed to be replaced.(when it was removed it was broken, thus a new one needed)
i'm very happy with the fixed rear quarter window that was installed. its much sturdier then the vent window when closed and the one rattle i had is gone. it had to be the window.
when the drivers side goes i'm def getting rid of the vent window on that side also.
