Seat Repair
on my 1990 F250 Lariat 4X4 7.5 460 the seat back will not stay up. I guess the rachet mechinism is worn. Before I start tearing the seats out I would like advice as to how to go about repair and parts if any I will need. Otherwise this is a great truck. Thanks for your help

I am looking for a step by step tutorial. Something might just be bent and a used part might have same problem. I am not sure what is causing problem. The top of the seat is in excellent condition and I doubt I could find a matching seat so I will have to disassemble this one.
If I disassemble seat, I will have to use a stool to sit on to drive to salvage yard. In which case, I would probably end up in jail.
