Hey coproc1, I agree ctfordguy, see if it will taken care under warranty. If not, price a new bottom cover, maybe it won't be too bad. But if both of these are a washout, maybe this will help. I have used COLOR-PLUS leather colorant - SURFLEX - on my 61 Continental's original leather, and had very nice results. www.ColorPlus.com 570-686-3158 ask for Joanne. I first learned of them through Hemmings, used their products and then met them last year at Hershey. Told them how pleased I was. SURFLEX is a water-based finish that you can brush on and it holds up very well, in my experience. Send them a small swatch of leather or vinyl (if you have the "20" middle seat, pop up the bottom and cut a small piece of vinyl from the underside) and they will match it and send you a can. Just one of many possible avenues, but I hope it helps. Good luck!
I had mine replace under warranty. I don't recall the miles I had on it, and it fell under the 12,000 miles cut off for adjustments. I traded mine in for a black leather lariat, and so far the seats aren't showing wear, might just be that the black doesn't show the wear. I sure did like the tan better though.
I had to have the drivers seat repaired at 900 miles. It was cracking pretty bad. I guess its the thin leather. And I currently use Lexal leather products, and it looks like the repair is cracking now....
