Mine quit working, and it ended up being dirty contacts in the on switch on the steering wheel. Pulled it out, cleaned and reinstalled. Cruise working fine now.
I do have a word of caution though, be very careful working around the airbag. I have seen someone has discharged one trying to remove it where I used to work. You need to disable the airbag system before removing the airbag.
You are in the right forum, and Welcome. My cruise went out and had to change the pressure sensor on the brake booster. Look under the brake fluid reservoir and you will see a sensor with a plug in connection. Mine was leaking brake fluid through the connector. I went to Ford and bought a new sensor for 20.00, changed it and all was good. There are more things that could cause what you have. You will get more help soon.
Stick around and ask all the questions you want.
X2, I just fixed mine with this. The connector was all coroded on the the ends of the sensor and wiring harness. I cut off the old connector and soldered in the new wiring harness adapter that comes with the new sensor. Works like a charm now.
