Had a great weekend we drove out to Alamo lake. We checked it out then drove the backway in to Wickenburg. Man was it hot and dusty.

are you referring to the road that goes from wayside to HWY 93?
that used to be a good road to get to Alamo back in the '80's but Yavapai County quit maintaining it and it was in bad shape the last time I used it.

Another late night. We got home from dinner last night, and I prepped the dogs' dinner for them. As they are trained, both were sitting in the living room waiting patiently. Then completely out of character, our male (the one who had back surgery) looked behind him twice, then got up and started walking away from me (and the food). He turned back towards me, but wasn't looking at me, and he's the one who always is locked on the eyes of the food giver. Next thing, he falls over on his side and is convulsing and crying. Talk about a sucky & helpless feeling. Within 10 minutes he was back to normal.

So, at 10pm, off we go to the emergency vet. Luckily there's one less than 2 miles away. No real diagnosis other than watch and wait. I talked to our normal vet this morning, and he offered the same advice. It could have been an acute pain in his back, or it could be a seizure. If it's a seizure, it could be a random event, or it could be the start of trouble. So ... we wait. Damn good thing I'm going to be home for a few weeks.

I swear I've never had animals with this many problems. I wonder if their former owner did ANYTHING to really care for them.

Time to finish painting the living room. It'll ease my mind for awhile. Everyone enjoy the day.

Wow, sorry about your dog. They can be more worry than kids sometimes because they can't tell you what they are feeling! Hope he's going to be OK.

good morning, just got back from my doctors appts...

went to pick up my prescriptions and ran into a problem...

I have cobra insurance, and the payment isnt due til next month, but the insurance company cancelled my account due to non payment...what a friggin racket!!

So I made the payment...I have to wait 24 hours for it to go thru the billing company...and another 24 hours for it to get to the insurance company and be reactivated!

So i picked up my mail on the way in and the cancellation notice is in the mail!!

I am really pissed off that they took 20 days to notify me!!

If it had been an emergency and I had been denied services...I would have one hell of a law suit!
