Whew! I survived the weekend. And only two indirect remarks about how we should move back to TN.
The living room only got about 40% painted. I ran out of time, and my wife didn't freak out. I think she knew that it would have been easier on me if she hadn't sampled the color on every wall.
Golf with my father-in-law went well. My MIL sat by the pool while the other three of us golfed Friday. My FIL and I then squeezed in another 12 on Saturday while the girls shopped, and he even commented to my MIL about how they should get a condo down by the course we played. She shot him an evil look, I guess because that would encourage us to never move back to TN (FINE WTH ME). I'll make the down payment if it means they'll leave us alone about living here!
To make the weekend busier, we bought a new car for my wife on Friday. She's now zoom-zooming in a Mazda 5, the microvan. It's too small to be a mini-van, but the sliding rear doors mean you can't call it a car.
Today ... I get to relax. Oh, and finish painting the living room
The three of us played Kokopelli on Friday. My FIL and I played Sunbird in Chandler on Saturday. We would have played a few more, but the starter wanted the cart back by 6p.
I plan on playing quite a bit at Sunbird this summer. $12 for 18 holes (including cart) and it's SLOW. My FIL and I were the only two on the course! That's my kind of golf.
wow Have I been here in a while? I don't think so. still as busy as can get! I think! down to the Kenworth head gasket job, '80 cj7 engine rebuild, 94 Chevy not running right, 84 Chevy dying, 2000 psd for glow plugs, Massey Ferguson 250 for an injector pump overhaul,
yup there is a light at the end of the tunnel, still kinda dim but it is there.
