So i bought what it titled as a 1964 F-100 custom cab, but appears to have the cab from a 65. They put in a small block chevy, with a corvette 3.70 posi 12 bolt rear end in it. What a PITA trying to figure out what came from where. they even put a damned sunroof in it. But hey for $500 bucks how could i say no. Need to do king pins on it, either that or gonna frankenstein in a GTO Front end we have. Too much work i think, but then i could convert to disk breaks. Any suggestions would be grand. Thanks for any advise, Jon.

Post the VIN, when decoded, it will tell what year it is.
The VIN will be on the registration, and on the Warranty Plate which is located on the left door face below the latch.
See if the VIN on the Warranty Plate matches the VIN on the registration.
If it doesn't...this means the left door isn't original.
1964 F100 2WD cabs are similar to 1965 cabs, with the major difference being a step just inside the door.
