Yes, that means we likely won't be on water restrictions this Summer and we will be able to regularly wash our rides.

Well, guys. I'm going to be headed to DMV to get the actual plastic license tomorrow.

Here's hoping they don't take for freaking ever. (yea right) And hoping that they don't give me a hard time. Last time I gave them my passport and a DMV gov't issue ID. They ask for your "ORIGINAL IDENTIFICATION" (I quote) on the paper. I don't know if they'll accept my permit as original identification since I had to give up my non-driver ID when I got my permit. We'll see how hard a time they give me about that.

Oh and I'd like to get the stuff that's gonna be on my license straightened out. The form I filled out at DMV had a height box. It said FEET with a box under it. INCHES with a box under it. I put 6'0 as my height. My permit says I'm 5'6. Does it matter that much? Not really. Is it irritating that I spent 3 hours there and they still screwed it up? Yes.

I think anyone who met me at the GTG will attest to the fact that I am in NO WAY 5'6. I haven't bee 5'6 since like 5th or 6th grade.

Hi Dave.
We went to the Rain Forest Cafe at the West Farms Mall.
All the kids love it there.
Luckily I don't get water restrictions because I have a very good well LOL.

I think they'll probably just use my permit picture. It's not even a year old.

And no I didn't smile. The lady took like 5 minutes to get it lined up and I was not happy at that point since we were already halfway through hour 2.

Plus I want it to look as much like me as possible for the officer when he pulls me over. I will NOT be smiling when he pulls me over.

In the last 2 years I played town soccer we had to have player IDs and my picture looked like a serial killer's mug shot. The permit on my picture isn't that bad. That specific one is very scratched up from riding in my wallet for 8 months.

I wouldn't call people that have to go to DMV "customers"

I don't know what I'd call em, but it certainly wouldn't be customers.

Customers have multiple companies competing to try to provide the best, most efficient service for them.

That does NOT sound like DMV to me.

I went to the Bridgeport DMV to get a Motorcycle Handbook for my daughter about a month ago.

I went over to the wall rack of forms and such, there was the Driver's Handbook but not the Motorcyle's.

So I get in line and finally get to the Information Counter (where everyone is pre-screened) and inquire about the Motorcycle Handbook not having a place on the wall.

The lady looks over to another gal behind that counter and that gal picks one up off a stack on their counter at the far end.
