I'm doing OK also. Knee still hurts, but I'm getting around. Guess this is the end of the May thread.

greg- thanks a bunch for those books! i found the tranny book as well as the ford service manual that had a tranny section. how is that for timing?

i tinkered for a few minutes on plum crazy. there was a LOT of water in the tank. i drained it and made a sacrifice to the fire gods. once i got clean fresh fuel in it, it would start and run rather well, but the carb is in need of a rebuild or is broken, the accelerator pump wasnt pumping at all. i think ill try the holly on it, see if thats any better. im afraid of the eddy, it looks like a charcoal briquette!

Last year there were bats here every night.
I haven't seen them yet this year, but as more evening insects appear I hope to attract some 1-200. (that is, if the white nose fungus hasn't killed them all)
The house is 35' up on the sunny side of a tree by the pond.
It is 15" wide and 7" deep with 3/4" chambers.

Yes, we have a few small bats flying around the homestead.

Nice, if I get time I might just build some bat houses.

I hope it's as nice as yesterday.
I enjoy bats too, I had a Bat House high up in an old tree at my last house.

But I don't think the bats ever moved into it.

My uncle has a cabin along a small lake north of Scranton, PA and there are bats that hunt out over the lake which makes for a nice evening show.

Pete:

I have a pair of almost new batteries that I pulled out of my diesel Blazer before it went to the salvage yard and which are now sitting on lumber down in the basement.

You interested?

Dave. It's June now. I know it's hard to let go, but you have to move on.

Smiles - I rather respond in the original thread.

Yes Pete, I'm of the age where "moving on" becomes more likely.
