351w cat...

on a '92 f250 how do i take the catolitic convertor off as far as the 2 tubes that plug into it. (im having a real ******* attack b/c i cant think of the name of them) Anyhow how do you advise me taking my cat off. thanks.

the things that plug in should be the o2 sensors

Are you talking about the header pipes that run between the Exhaust Manifold and the cat?

I think you mean take the cats off.
If so just leave the O2 sensor on the header pipes.

ya know back many many years ago they used to sell a converter test pipe that would fit right in it's place-but of course no one ever removed the test pipe-once it was installed-but last I heard they no longer exist

You have to remove the whole thing, just cut off the rear portion where the air fitting is in the pic and hollow the front portion of the cat, that gives you a Y pipe with a built-in fitting for the O2 sensor.

my cat doesnt look like this one. but what should i do with the o2 if i want to run w/o the cat???

The O2 sensor has to be in the exhaust if you want any gas milage at all, so weld in a fitting in whatever you have left after the cat is gone.
