Quick question, I was taking the truck apart to get a look at the turbo because i'm thinking about doing the 6637 mod. i took the CCV off to look into doing the mod there problem is the o-rings look way too big (see pic) is this a problem? should i look into getting a new set?
Side note i think the turbo looks pretty good for 120K fully stock miles. is it okay to have a very small bit of horizontal play in the turbo shaft?
My o-rings were shot at 105K miles. They were replaced with a set from Home Depot. they are 1.5" OD and 1.25" ID. You can also order a set from Guzzle at Click Me
Common issue, and you should replace them. 1.5" OD, 1.25" ID I believe. Local hardware store should have them, but I suggest ordering from Guzzle unless you are in a hurry.
Edit- dangit Chris beat me to it again!

Check your wheel very close. It looks like it is hitting the housing. See if you can make it touch the housing. If you can, time for a rebuild.
I looked for the o-rings at Home Depot to no avail. I ended up going to a local O'Reileys and asked them and he let me look through a box of o-rings that they had and I found the right ones. And on top of that, he gave them to me for free which was awesome.

Try the faucet repair section, that's where I got mine at a local itty bitty True Value store.
If you are thinking about doing the CCV and 6637 I might suggest the kits I put together. They come with everything you need, including complete o-ring kits from guzzle.

No problem at all. Just figured this might help incase he ordered the kits later and had already gotten something cheesy from Home Depot. Just wanted him to have options
Notice the slight ring that looks etched in the housing next to the wheel -- it looks like it's JUST starting to touch. Get a rebuild kit from Ron's Turbo Service (you can find him on eBay), or maybe Clay is selling one too. It would be easier to get it all at once.

Yes Sir, I stock them for just such an occasion But heck, if your going to rebuild it you may as well spring for the ATS 1.0A/R Housing which I stock as well
