I have a faulty low pressure switch on my 97 F350. The system has more than enough pressure and the system works fine when the switch is bypassed. This is the switch mounted on the side of the dryer. I have been to several parts stores and they all have a listing for a clutch cycling switch and a hi pressure switch. I was certain it was not the high pressure switch, so I purchased the clutch cycling switch. Wrong one. This one has a squarish connector and two blade terminals. Of all that were shown at three different parts stores, none had the right one.
Anyone know the proper terminology for this swich?
I figured it out. My 97 has the a/c from an older design. This switch is marked for a 96 in most databases. Might have been part of the F36 incomplete vehicle package...
i had to go to the dealer for mine, is it on the back of the compressor? its the low pressure switch or cycling switch. the one that is back tward condenser is high pressure switch.
i tried getting the switch from a few differnt parts places in town and they couldnt get it but the stealership had it on hand and it was only like $2 more than autozone
