icp ipr
i'm a little confused on the functions of these 2 sensors i know the icp is in the head of the engine on the drivers side and that the ipr is on the hpop. And i'm pretty sure the icp reads the hpop pressure at the heads. what no idea what the ipr is for. on my truck the icp i unplugged today while the truck was running rough but it did not change the way it ran but i did notice a little oil on the pins. i unplugged the ipr which was one the hpop resovir and the trucks idle changed maybe a little for the better but still kinda sucked. any ideas?

i had both problems. the icp made my truck run like a total piece of **** made me wana sell it. Also my ipr was going and it made my truck run ok but had very little power after they were fixed it ran better then ever

i just replaced my icp becuase i broke it but in my travels, i read that if it has oil out side of it, the seal is gone or the seals in it are leaking thats why ford had a remanufactured sensor, just picked it up yesterday, 170 at the dealer but i get discounts so it wasnt that bad. iheard you can get lucky and just clean it off and replace the oring and be on your merry way, that is if its working correctly to begin with
