Thanks, I remember once, quite a while ago, that some one suggested taking the sway bar off and they were given a fair amount of guff over it. Any way, I haven't suffered any ill effects from removing it. And where I live there is rarely a straight road, so most of my driving is cornering and braking, and it handles well.
You may be thinking of the track bar, not the sway bar.

It was the sway bar. I don't think it was here that the subject came up of removing the sway bar, but someone said ''Ford put those things on for a reason and if you remove it your steering will be all out of whack." All I know is mine steers great and no more clunk.
By the way you guys up in Newport don't have to worry about sway bars, all your roads are long and straight compared to ours down in St. Maries.
I drove mine for a few days without it and I could notice an extra "bounce" when coming out of a curve, but I could see how you wouldn't notice it after a while.
