Brak caliper sticking...
Should I replace it with another Motorcraft or is Napa stuff good?
I've read the slide pins could be in need of a lube job also. But want to get a new caliper anyway.

We've been discussing this in another thread, and I genuinely believe that the part you buy at Napa, if it's brand-new, will be made by the same company as the original OEM piece. Bendix?

I just picked up my FoMoCo Adapter bracket (sliding part with the slide pins). I can't see any indication of the manufacturer. I don't know who makes the Ford brakes for them. I'll ask next time I am in.
A side note: the slide pins are different from the ones that came out of my 2003. See attached picture. There is one pin that has a machined collar at the tip of it that apparently receives a rubber grommet that has 4 groves in it. My assumption is that it so allow more grease to coat the pin as it slides. I checked both of my stuck pins and the two that were binding or seized were the right ones when viewed as in the picture (if it were flipped over). I would think that when installed one would be on the top and one on the bottom (on the opposite side). That is how I am going to install them.
So, are NAPA better than FoMoCo? Can't answer. I guess let price and your conscience be your guide.
