From previous experience if the oil is clean after 3 to 5K it usually is not cleaning the engine, causing sludge buildup. Does Amsoil and the Amsoil filter remove sludge and other deposits? If it is that efficient I am all for it, but I would like to see some real test data.

Well, hopefully my truck doesn't have sludge buildup in her. She only has 4300 miles on her. That's why my oil is clean...lol
The oil that comes out after 25,000 miles is definetley darker, but the viscosity or the feel of it between your fingers is what doesen't change. All oils when drained, pour like water with no lubrication properties left at all; Amsoil comes out like it went in. The new filters they have now are good for 25,000 miles, same as the oil. It used to be a filter every 10,000 miles, but new filters have been designed. If you are switching from standard motor oil, I would change the first filter at 10,000 because its going to pull dirt out of your motor. The reason it doesn't create sledge is because the base of the oil doesen't use a parafin wax base like every other oil out there including Mobil1. Its all together a different setup and process.
I was going to throw some stories in there but I'll just say I'm with the magnet on this issue. I have my own "proof" and a good number of old guy naysayers. I will say that the last car my wife had blew a turbo after we traded it in. It had only 35,000 miles and had nothing but Mobil 1 in it since new. The salesman told me that it was sludged up. I will not use anything but Amsoil from now on.
