I was wondering what is considered hot. I usually just look to see if the needle is between 200 and 400 and then shut down. Looks like I am on the same track as you guys.
I can idle my truck for 10 mins when it is cold but it settles around the 300-350 mark give or take depending on external temp.
I have one of those Isspro Temp Minders but I've never used it because i always try to let it cool down before i stop. Not to take any business from clay but i would sell somebody mine. I never hooked it up because i decided i didn't need it.
I have one on my Viper LC3 alarm. I like it you can take the keys out with the enginning running and it will shut down after preset time. I also like the feature if you are going to run a short errand take the keys out alarm set with the engine running. The unit has a paging system which is awesome. It will tell what is exactly happening to the trucks if it's getting broke into.
