Don't know about 2WD leveling kit info, but since most of the rubbing issues on a 4WD are with the plastic fender liners and the lower front bumper corners I would say 285/75/16 would be about as big as you could go.
Does anyone with a 2wd with a leveling kit have 33s or think i could fit them with minimal trimming of the plastic?
I am still deciding on tires and i know that the size between a 285/75/16 is minimal, but if i decide on a tire that is measured in standard i want to make sure that im not going to go out and buy a set of tires and cant even fit them.
9/10 times the manufacturer of the lift will have a max recommended tire size, so choose your poison as far as lift... I run 315/75R16's on my '03 4x4 and 3" lift springs (soon to be replaced by the Icon mini pack)...

A guy running a red light totaled my Yukon last week, so I finally have an excuse to buy the super duty from dad. (First thing it needs are wheels and tires.) It's a 2wd, so good to know that I'll need a leveling kit to fit anything much bigger... I'd love to find out that 33's would work. I was hoping for input from anyone running a larger rim with lower profile tire - ride quality, handling, etc. I still want it to be tasteful so I won't make the lower profile too extreme... I'd just like it to look clean and more aggressive. (I'll be digging through the photo sections in a few minutes here looking for ideas.) Since a 2wd won't spend much time off road until I have the budget to make a project of a 4x conversion. (Seems like there should be enough to do to a 2wd to keep me busy for a year or two) Any input is greatly appreciated.
Hi Im from England and we dont have much available for my SD over here so I have to trial and error everything. Ive had 285 75 16 BFG on for last 30000 miles and they dont touch anything without any lift but I did upgrade the front with a leveling kit which was an extra leaf spring in the front. with this I think 35 would fit ok and Im trying to fit 37 now but they do rub here and there on the front. My truck is an 03 xlt fx4 psd cc lb. you can see some pics on the other thread i started.
