Yep -- it's a good move going to syn... Sucking out the HPOP is optional, but I thought it made sense when I switched the first time. I had a short run of dino in mine later that same year and I didn't do the HPOP the second time.
In fact, this just reminded me... I have about 7000 miles on mine now -- need to pull a sample for Blackstone. When I do that, should I let a bunch drain first, then snag the sample? Sorry for the hijack...

Blackstone recommends that the sample is taken in the middle of the draining process on a warmed up engine.
Wow. That's a derailment. But since you brought it up, that's not what I do. I fill the cup at the beginning, then let the rest go where it's supposed to.
