Ford Courier

Was not sure where to post I saw the coolest little Ford truck today it said courier on the side. I think this would make a cool little v8 truck dose any one have one. looking at picks on google they have made these trucks for years. why are they not every where? the one I saw was most likely a 70s model it had a 2.3 in it.

Any info you have to share would be great.

I have an 81 with the 2.3 as a daily driver. It's not a bad little truck, for what they are Mazda made some pretty tough trucks.
Here's a forum for them:
Ford Courier Collector :: Index

Ford Courier Collector has a lot of information, the forum is off that site.
There are a few v8 ones running around, I'm actually looking to put a 200 straight six in mine.
The Courier was replaced by the Ranger in 1983, it started production in 72, and was basically a rebadged Mazda B-series.

I did not realize that they started production in 1972. I always thought the Courier was the answer to Chevy LUV that preceded the S-10.

And speaking of Mazda, I saw a Mazda Navaho the other day. A re-badged Explorer. I hadn't seen one of those for years.

My first car was a metallic pea green 1973 Ford Courier. I recently put an ad in the local paper trying to track it down again, some 20 years after I sold it. I also owned a 1956 Ford Courier but that's a different beast.

Wasn't the 50's and 60's Courier a stripped down station but with windows instead of panels like a sedan delivery? I remember seeing one at a show a few years back.
