Looks like I have the "superdoody" upgrade. No wonder the belt was a PITA to install. I didn't know there were two different sizes. I'll hafta remember to ask for two "large" belts when I get ready to replace this one. Gotta have a spare of the right size.

Here's a couple of better pictures:
If yours has the 1/2 square hole to release the tension then it is the Souper Dooty version.

I've had that SD tensioner on there since 01 or 02. I'm not sure I still remember how the OBS tensioner releases but I think it takes a torx bit and the bolt is left hand threaded
Yeah, the 1/2" hole is for a ratchet. A breaker bar and a piece of pipe works great, it lets you release the tension with one hand and route the belt with the other.

No its not a torx bit is a regular exagonal bolt (maybe 16 or 18 mm Im not sure) and yes its left hand threaded. The torx (T50 IIRC)is to hold the tensioner.

Posting pictures from Webshots is easy. Left click the pic and you get a popup, select "link to it" On the next page you select the size by highlighting it. I always use 600. From the bottom of that box you copy the URL where it says "post in a forum" Just paste that URL directly into the message box on here. You don't have to use the "insert image" icon
Now that I've seen a picture and heard better descriptions, I do not have the SD version/upgrade. I guess the PITA I had replacing the belt is because I used a box-end wrench on the bolt head to release tension.
