When I back my truck out into the street and put on brakes to start forward the engine almost cuts off.The idle speed drops down real slow and then it comes back up to normal! What could be the problem? 1952 F-1 with flathead.
Yes, it seems to be worse when I am on a incline or steep drive.It is one of them great rebuilt carbs from DC.I have noticed some sediment in my fuel pump bowl and I have never had an inline filter installed.Maybe something got to the carb? I did finally put a filter in the bowl today.
Beats me! It came newly rebuilt from the factory so I didn't want to take it apart to look inside - it's a new model 750 cfm almost identical to a Carter. If it spits, I just open the throttle a dash and it goes away - fast!
