well I bought new tires today and decided on toyo 35/12.5/17 I am glad I went with the 35's not 37's because even with the 2.5" level lift I had to cut about 4 or 5" off the plastic iner fender because they hit baaadddd, only about half an inch or so from the bumper, so anyone that conciders 37"s will have to go at least 4" of lift theres no way a 37 will fit without cutting a lot of plastic and a little bumper and mabe a little fender.
well they touched the back of the fender well liner? wheels have a pretty good offset even with another 1" tall spring it would be too close to risk beavering up $1200 tires 37"s would have to be pretty narrow my wheels are 9" glad I went with 35's ,and I thought for shure that I had enough room for 37's with 2.5" of lift, the truck looks really good with wider tires on it, look tough

there is a fix for the plastic fender liner....I wish I would have known before you cut them up.
do you pin it out of the way? I thought they would fit no prob? so I was at town fair tire and they came out and said they were hitting and I would have to trim it? not much choice and it really isnt noticable, toyos are awesome tires hardy any highway noise and less than two onces of weight on each wheel
'08s can fit 37" tires with a leveling kit or 4" lift. '00-'07 trucks need at least a 4" lift and preferably a 6" or larger. I have 4" lift and could only fit them because my bumper has a lot more clearance than stock.
It took me a little to figure our how to mod the plastic and I don't have any real good pix but I will try to explain. The area about 4-5 inches inward of the metal area at the bottom of the fender is the easiest to fix. Simply make a bracket for the back side and pull it back and fasten it to the bottom of the truck under the floorboard. The outer part right next to the metal is a little more tricky. You have to make a cut with a hack saw blade through the plastic where the metal sits up against it. The metal is only about the thickness of the saw blade where I am talking about. Cut a little and pull it back where the plastic splits and goes on either side of the metal. You may have to do this several times until you get it to go back as far as you want. (DO THE CUTTING ON THE OUTER EDGE BEFORE PULLING THE OTHER AREA BACK) I have one picture in my gallery that shows where the metal bracket pulls the center area back.
