Whats the deal with that blue 72 ford you have, with the 302 in it? Looks pretty good shape on the one side, whats the other side like? For sale at all? Perhaps CHEAP?!
Its my old mans truck and yes it could very well be for sale. 3 years ago it wasnt for sale but since then dad has too many projects (like father like son) so yes it could very well be for sale.
As for body condition the driver side is in BETTER shape then the passenger side. Both sides have minimal rust the passenger front fender did take a bump as you an see the signal light is broken.
As for powertrain the 302 was removed from the truck 4 years ago and is in dry storage. (most likely needs rebuild)
Dad bought it at a neighbors estate sale 6 years ago not running but yes the body is very good.
I dunno what my dads price would be.
Nope, between my new 4X4 and the 1949 Mercury being finished in the next week or 2 and the 1958 International back on the road my crusing time is taken. It looks like the 1969 will be on farm duty.
Well Ryan you should bug your ol man a little bit and see what he would take for it. I dont need the motor or tranny, as I would probably just stuff the 460 I have in that 77 parts truck of mine in that truck for now.
The merc of my uncles might not make it out here as soon as I was expecting. It now has to go through his estate, and since he didnt leave a will, that could take awhile.
Ive been itching to get at a project, and my 91 shortbox is on stand by till i find the 4x4 donor truck to swap the front end/tranny/transfer case into.
As cool as my PSD is, I would just like something around here a little unique to drive for some days in the summer.
That ticks me off so much when no will is left. Just leaves a raw taste in my mouth.
Prob be a cheaper price if you see it then bring it up then me asking for ya.
Ok sure, one of these days pretty soon i would like to take a trip out there. Whens the next time your heading out that way?
Yeah the whole no will thing bothers me too, but not half as much as his passing! Not much we can do about it now though, just gonna try and make sure his stuff goes to teh right places.
This weekend Ill be home and next Sunday Ill be home at the farm.
In my expierence the belongings never go to the right place. In one situation I faced we couldnt even get the body remains to have a proper community funeral....never found out what happened to the body but whatever.
Well the motor will go in stock for now, UNLESS I can convince Glen to sell me a few things off of the 460 he has!
In time I would like to make a stroker out of that 460 I have, and stick it into that 50 merc that is out at my uncles house.
Im just thinking that I would LOVE to have something old and more unique to drive around this summer, and since I have a 460 that runs(ran) good, just sitting there...
