zf5 tranny problem

I have a 91 f-250 with a 6.9 and zf 5 the problem i am haveing is the tranny wont always go in reveres all other gears are fine. i wonder if there is a shim or something out. the tranny is quite. and if u roll forward a little it goes right in to gear. i am guessin that the teeth on the gear are fine beacuse once you get it in gear it doesnt ever jump out.

Actually I've heard reverse can be a weakness in the ZF 5 speed.

You got the kit from the Ford dealer? And how much was it? Did you tear it apart yourself?
