Again, so sorry! I have been knee deep in this truck, trying to find info on how things work with it, got kinda carried away! The fuse I am using is 7.5A .

Well from my checking this on my 81 Ford truck the amps are approximately .5 to 1 amp at 6.80 to 7.00 volts. I am guessing this may change depending on what choke thermostat you have. My original motorcraft one quit working and when the carb was rebuilt the guy had a working one from a toyota he said would work if I did not want to spend the $40 or so for a new ford one at this time.

Well, it hasnt blown up yet, so i guess it will work. Kept AMP low just in case so if something happened it wouldnt burn up alternator.
