transmission problem

hey hate to bother u guys again with this but when i went to go check the fluid today again it looked like gear oil, fresh as can be? i'm stumped. the only thing i can think of is that water was getting in there, and gear oil is heavier than water so the water just sat on the top and came out? idk. I drained a little out from the bottom first then the top with it on an incline and out of both holes it was perfect? should i just add some and leave it? thanks
