BIG Problems need HELP...

I have an 05 f250 which the master was just swapped out to add the factory trailer brake setup to the truck. Since the swap the brakes work fine then decided to start dragging hard. If you crack the lines going to the master cylinder they loosen up and go back to normal after a couple minutes then build pressure in the line and start dragging. Is there just air in lines or ??? Any help would be much appreciated

Air would not cause this problem as air compresses and does not allow the brakes to work fully...hydraulic principals. Sounds like you may have a bad master or it is not set properly. You are getting pressure bypassing the valves allowing fluid to build pressure in the brakes during non braking periods. I am assuming that you put in a bigger master due to tow braking. Ensure that the actuation cylinder has the same throw distance that the older one had. If it is longer it will hold the cylinder slightly open allowing the bypass. You may have to install a shim to take up the longer travel. If a dealer installed return and see if they can adjust or replace. Hope this helps.
