Yeah baby - Project Flareside Update - New Sneakers!

I've been waiting for my new tires to get here from Minnesota and they finally showed up today.

I'm so happy I'm at a loss for words.... These things are going to be KILLER on my Flareside Project.

I grabbed a couple of spare 16 X 7 8 lug rims out of the shed this morning and on my way home from the junkyard I got a call from the freight company.

Looky what I got!! Michelin XZL 11.00R16's they measure 38.5" tall x 11.5" wide. Brandy dandy new with the nipples still on them!

I also got my Dana 60 front axle cleaned up pretty well and got some primer and paint on it. I'm waiting for two Kingpin kits and a pinion seal to arrive so I can replace them and put it back together.

Oh, they are going to fit alright. One way or another!

I suppose with the 2" drop hangers in the front, 4" lift springs and the 2" from the Dana 60 front swap gives me about 8" of lift.

They'll fit!

If not, there is always the Sawzall!

Just get some some 5 to 8 lug wheel adapters and then sawzall the fenders. It'll save you a lot of extra work. Dont you want to be as cool as this guy?

I think it'll look pretty neat though I'm more of a fan of making those flaresides as more of a street truck but those are some pretty sweet tires.

I've always been opposite. I think FlareSides look best lifted with meat digging tires.
