hey guys i have a (as best i can tell) ford 10.25 rear axel, limited slip, 6 lug, 4.11 gears whats something like this worth?? it's been sitting outside for a few years but my dad say's it should be good still
I'm almost dead certain Ford never used 6 lugs, and if they did, it'd be something pretty dang rare. If it's a full-floater, it's gotta be a GM or Mopar part. If it ain't it could be GM, Mopar, Toyota, Nissan, just about anything that ain't Ford.

A full floater has a hub like a dually trucks, with the axleshaft just turning the wheel, not carrying any of the weight. A semi-floater is what you normally find in an F-150 or other half ton trucks, and the lug studs mount into a flange on the end of the axle shaft. The nice thing about full floaters is that if you break an axle, you don't lose the wheel, and to change out a shaft, you don't have to remove a wheel. Also, the carrier bearings last longer, as they aren't helping to support the weight of the vehicle. To ID the axle, try going to drivetraindirect.com
Well, I went and blabbed my mouth like I was in the know and said that if Ford used a six lug it would be really rare. Anywho, I was at the junkyard the other day, and what did I see? About four or five Ford Couriers, all with six lug axles.
