Turbo 2.3l help

I have a turbo 2.3 litre ford motor. The motor is in a sandrail. I don't believe the turbo came from the factory on this motor. I do however think all of the parts are Ford and someone tried to add the turbo in. It has a ford exhaust manifold for the turbo and it is a garrett turbo, and Motorcraft carb. I would like to switch to a pullthrough side draft carb set-up but am hitting a dead end everywhere I look. Does anyone know of a forum or website that would have the information I am after?? Thanks for any help.

If the engine came from an SVO Mustang or T-bird Turbo Coupe, it's 'factory'. I don't recall if either setup had an intercooler, though. As far as your question, you can probably check the following sites (not sure if all of them have listings for what you're looking for, but should have Lima 4-cyl engine stuff):

Esslinger Engineering
Race Engineering
Racer Walsh
NeedHP.com
Speedwaymotors.com

Not sure about any turbo 4-cyl Ford forums out there, never looked that deep into it personally. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Thanks for the links. There is some info on parts and such. I am still looking for help on how to properly set this system up to work correctly. Currently the wastegate is wired open. The previous owner said that the engine ran crappy with the wastegate closed. The vacuum lines all look wrong to me in how they are set-up. I am no expert on how to set this kind of system up. Thanks for the info again

You will probably want a Chilton's or Haynes (if the vac. diagram, etc. is in there) for an SVO Mustang or T-bird Turbo Coupe. Either one of those vehicle's info should be correct. Not sure if you'd have to buy a different book or shop manual for either vehicle (might need to?) or look up the info elsewhere. I don't recall any other vehicles but those two that had the turbo 2.3L 4-cyl in it. Hope that helps some more.
