I'm in the process of swapping a 7.3 from a 91 into my 93. The motor that blew in my truck was the 93 IDI with the factory Garett turbo. What I'm doing is swapping most of the good stuff from my 93 motor over to the 91 including the turbo I'm missing the oil feed line to the turbo and am simply wondering if I can purchase one new online or if I'll have to have it made? Also because this 91 was the non turbo, I believe I'll need to buy the adapter to mate the block with the line? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

My local auto parts store that makes hydraulic lines was able to make me a basic duplicate of the lines for like $50; It was like 3/16 braided hose(it's hydraulic line with an extra metal braided shield on the outside. The ends were just 1/8 JIC flare, IIRC.

The block is simply tapped 1/8 NPT, so if you get a 1/8 NPT to JIC L fitting, you can just use that. It's what came with my used kit.

 

you can also get universal turbo oil feed line kits from ebay. i think mine was like $20-30

As long as those will work I'd be happy with it but if for some reason they don't I'd rather save the hassle. I'd have one made but I would just like to be sure on exactly what I will need to ask for so its done right.

yeah those are the right sort. some look way too long tho. i think 24" is more than enough.
