If I don't drive my 2006 for two weeks, the battery goes low enough where it will barely crank over. First I thought I left some on, the next time parked I make sure every thing was off, same thing, two weeks the battery goes dead. The Evolution programmer is the only add-on.
It's worth a try. I drive my Ranger to work, because of the gas mileage, and the 150 sits in the pole barn till the weekend when need I pull a trailer. It just seem the battery should hold up a couple weeks.
I think the factory batteries are crap in these trucks. I recently took my truck in, cause it needed new tie rods. While it was there ford gave me a new alternator all under warranty. They said my battery kept dieing because of my amp's to my stereo. (which I know is not true, because I have remote wires hooked up.) anyway my truck won't start after sitting for two weeks as well, and I leave nothing on. When I get home I am getting an optima.
I know what you mean about the battery, about 6 monthes after bought the truck (new) the battery died. The dealer replaced, and checked out the charging system, everything was good. Every once in a while I run throught the "check systems" option on the dash board factory computer and everything checks out. I think I'll use the battery tender off the motorcycle.
