OK got a black truck, never owned one.. What is the best wax to use on it, I am afraid of wrecking the finish, lol. Hope someone can share some input.... Thansk.
i got a black truck, the turtle wax black box is great! all the stuff inside, is colored black, so it will hide small scratches and nicks in your paint. i did the stupid thing, truck was dirty, didn't have the time to wash it, so ran it thru the car wash, big mistake!! got swirl marks, but the black box wax covered alot of the scratches up! i got it at the local auto store, think it was $20 to $25, can't remember, but works really good! just follow the directions on the box, and you'll have no problems. i also wash my truck with turtle wax ice car wash, works good also, water just beads up and runs off when rinsing. good luck!

Meguirs sells a 3 step process. I have a Black Durango that I am slowly polishing 1 body panel at a time....also doing a little clay bar before laying the wax down.
Cost me about $30 just for the 3-step and the towels
and about 2 hours per panel of detailed cleaning...hence the 1 panel at a time approach
The 3 step process is amazing. A grit, a color restorer, and the final one is the wax. Makes the paint look like new
The Turtle Wax "ICE" is awesome too. But the paint needs to be in good shape first. It'll get shiny, but the imperfections underneath will show through.
My truck is all black as well. The dealers buff the hell out of them to sell them, but doesen't do a whole lot for the paint. Wash your car with Dawn dishwashing liquid to start. Then get yourself a clay bar kit to get rid of any contaminants in the clear coat. You Tube has alot of videos demonstrating this procedure. Then I use EAGLE ONES NANO-POLISH. It works great on swirls and small imperfections that you see on a black truck in the sun. Just remember, side to side for waxing on black...No more circular motion.
