Well the new front locker is finally installed. As i mentioned in another post my trucks going ability really sucks in the mud and trying to go up slight muddy inclines. Hopefully the front locker will make a difference. So far I have only engaged it on a dirt road but man can you tell something's up front. On hard pack it definitly wants to pull straight and doesnt like to turn but I was told in the mud you could turn a little. I also installed a Truetrac limited slip in the rear as the factory one sucks you know what. Anyway, i'll post back after i've had a chance to try the same muddy hills again. Hopefully we will get more rain in the next few days. The sweet thing about the whole deal is the using the upfitters to activate the locker. Kinda feels like a James Bond toy.....

That's one of the coolest upgrades I've seen on here. Keep us updated when you get muddy. I need a boost now and then, especially dragging the camp trailer out of the mts. after a storm. Thanks for the post. How much $$ are you into the whole setup?

I have about $1,200 in the locker and installation. Another $600 in the rear Truetrac.
Should make a big difference offroading esp off camber. As far as mud, tires are the key.
Locker in the front will help some but both tires will turn even with an open diff...
That Eaton E-Locker is like Ford's ESOF... except when you engage the E-Locker, it actually works! Keep us updated on the effectiveness of the E-Lockers. I would like to have them in both the front and rear (if available) axles.
Well just tested the rear Truetrac on a fairly steep slope. Same senerio as before with the Ford limited slip but this time i could hardly make it slip at all. Its funny cause before i could see both tires turning too but the difference is they were turning a little more idependently and at somewhat different speeds. With the Truetrac, once one started to slip the 2nd tire locked in and they both turned the same. I had to really struggle though to get them loose. Pretty amazing. Still need a good heavy rain though before i can compare front locker engaged and not engaged. I'll post back soon.
PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS. I want to see an open diff with that beautiful elocker in there
The only thing different from the instructions is the activation switch is now a lighted toggle switch that is much nicer. Flip it down and it turns red. I didn't use this switch however as we tied it into our #3 upfitter switch. The instruction manual is below with pictures.
