Question TTB Lockers?

Hi guys, just got back from a vaction to Pismo Beach and after getting the 3 wheel peel going on in the sand i was wondering if it's possible to put a locker in a dana 50 ttb front axle.. Well not possible but is it a good idea? Would love the traction in the sand with all four wheels turning. Truck is a 1996 f-250 .

The ttb's are not the strongest things on earth...especially the slip joints on the axle shaft.....on sand you'd probably be ok....but if one of the front wheels hooked up on something solid you'd most likely shear off a axle shaft....

i've seen lots of locked TTBs.. being its a D50 i would say its ok. the D44 TTB guys use the slip joint out of the D50 to upgrade the D44.. any axle is ok with a locker within reason.. Too big of a tire or abuse will lead to FAIL.. so just use your head and you should be ok
