Is it really going out?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Dec-02 AT 02:55 AM (EST)]Well I was driving today and I noticed it was revving about 2200 rpm in drive going about 45 mph for a minute or so and then after the next stop light seemed okay. Then later on today I had to get on it just a little bit from a stop sign because traffic was coming, and I got engine speed, but not proportional ground speed! I thought maybe I was spinning, but it didnt feel like it and there was no noise. (the roads were kinda wet) Sounds to me like rebuild time, but I just wanted to ask if there is anything else that might cause this sort of thing to happen. It just feels like slippage in the transmission, just like the ole C4 used to do (different truck). I guess I just want to know if there is any other possible cause before I take this thing out. I just replaced the converter about 3 weeks ago, o well, I can reuse that anyways. Btw, it has 163,000 mi.
Thanks in advance,
