A while back I purchased a door seal kit and just now got doors done enough to install them. But when lining up the beltline, my stock slots are a tad off from where the tab locations are on the strip. Is this typical and should I have to drill new slots?

That was the case with the weather strips I bought from Denise;)Carpenter
(for friggin big bucks I might add;) the stuff looked to be made in China
same as LMC stuff, the clips weren't lined up right and the clips were crap.
"charge big bucks and they will be fooled into thinking it's good stuff" -D.C.?
Ford confusion...I wonder what the repro parts sellers are making?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: Why buy these from repro parts sellers?
Most autoglass shops sell these AND the clips separately.
In the autobiz, there are called CAT WHISKERS.
Autoglass shops sell a w/strip that's 3 feet long, then it's "CUT TO FIT"

On my dentside that's what Denise did, took a straight strip and bent it,
(wrinkled up and all) put the sorry clips (that "look" like the real thing) at
the wrong height and the one in the curved part was put on crooked.
I bought a set from Ford and installed them years before and they were
made curved, so had no wrinkles and the clips were identical to the ones
that came with the truck and when shoved into the slot clicked and held
tight. The clip in the curved section was turned to match the curve and
placed at the correct height to match the door's slot, too. :)
DC's are sorry pieces of crap compared to the ones I bought at the
dealership, but what burns me is they charge like they are NOS.
DC prob'ly gets theirs from LMC ;) or from the same supplier, bethca. ;)
i'm sure. they are so long that they need cut down and they still would not line up with the slots. got them of ebay and paid a pretty good chunk for them. got the run channels and all in the kit and have no problem with them accept for some minor trimming.
Number: do you have an idea what kind of price Sanderson is charging for the two sets?
