F250 Performance

i have a 2006 f250 5.4, seeing how it isn't as fast as a diesel i wanted to know what are the best performance mods you can do to ramp up the acceleration/torque.

i wouldnt say a stock deisel is a FAST truck either...

custom tune and free flowing exhuast, are usual things alot of people do..

what gears ur truck sporting ??? if u got 3:73's then i'd suggest a 4:30's or higher if u wanna gain some seat of the pants speed increase..

Were talking 7,200 lb's for a 2wd and probably 8,300 Lb's for a 4WD, fast should not be in the vocabulary when talking about these trucks. Maybe a word like quick, or something like >>>>, heck I don't know, but fast, no, they shouldn't be fast. I know, some ARE, but really should they be, I'm glad mine isn't. The word scary would come to my mind if it was.

ditch the 3:73's...

i hear ur pain my V10 is spinning those same gears in teh pumpkins and since moving to 35"s my truck is now really suffering...

the drop in power off the line and driving anytime below 2000RPM is really noticable...

if u decide to regear dont even consider anything below 4:30... 4:30s would be the minimum u should seek..

the jump to say 4:10s wouldnt make u happy im sure...

That's the plan for my 2005 F350... except I want 37" tires. Look at the SCT tuners (X3 or Livewire) from 5 Star Tuning. K&N is the only aftermarket company that offers a full CAI kit for the 2005-2007 F250/F350 with 5.4L engine. I'm working with Doug Thorley Headers on a new long-tune header for the 5.4L engine. Here's the latest on the headers...
