I hear some people talk down about the d66 from beans and that the H2e is a better choice. especially for II's. I thought the d66 flowed a tad more air --1150 to the h2e 1000. Why would someone chose one over the other?

Did some side work and have around $2000 to throw at the truck so I am looking at 1's or 2's from rosewood (DIY) the d66 and maybe the adreneline HPOP.

Also if I do that would I be fine driving it for a couple weeks before new programing? I've been eyeing PHP's tunes

Durability and air flow are two different things. The D66 can flow more than a stock H2E. Modded H2E outdoes a D66 but the H2E will outlast the D66 at any level.

I should also add the reason for some of my bias against the D66. I have had a stock turbo get demolished from over boosting the thrust bearing. Bean's has done a great job with the intake side to even out the drive pressures but every now and then a D66 still fails with stage 2's or smaller. An H2E is border line too big for stage 1's but I think (since I don't run one yet!) that it still might work. I am planning to run the H2E with AD's if I ever get it built.

Not worth it. The HX35 and 40 are stock cummins turbo's and are a shade on the small side from what I hear.

Tim has pretty much got you straight on the turbo.

Your next question:
The truck will be fine with new sticks and HPOP and no programming. The only thing is that you will not see any of the power you just installed until you have programming. And I mean none of the power.
